Hello All!

I wanted to provide some information that I find to be helpful while searching around for gigs (see below). These links are from the blog of Alan Baltes. He is an established figure in the entertainment industry and has created this blog to provide casting and other valuable information to actors, models, etc. In addition to maintaining the breakdowns that he posts on his blog, he also offers helpful advice for up and coming actors. Welcome!

My name is Janelle. I created the Actors' Exchange so that artists like yourself can work together and just have a good time.

Taking the time to learn your craft is absolutely essential. Taking classes and attending workshops will broaden your expertise. However, nothing will match what you will learn from getting right down to it and CREATING. Acting is more than studying you have to DO it in order to learn.

My goal is for actors, writers, filmmakers and anyone interested in the art of filmmaking and/or theater to learn from one another, perform and grow in a supportive environment. They say business is more about who you know than what you know. I happen to agree to an extent but also feel that it is both. Once you talk the talk, you have to walk the walk. This is your opportunity to be proactive in taking another step towards your dream.
